NEW AD!!: Beyonce Unveils New H&M Ad Campaign

Mrs Carter is pretty busy on her tour of the world (again!) in her Mrs. Carter tour, yet she’s found time to ensure she continues with her many many endorsements.

She’s managed to unveil a new amazingly hot video for H&M today.

The video was directed by Jonas Akerlund (“Telephone”) and features the latest track from the queen “Standing On The Sun”.

We love the ad. It’s a fantastic way not just to showcase the new line, but also to showcase this fantastic track. The video is fresh and reviving and we can watch it over and over again!

NEW SIGNING!!: Iggy Azalea Signs to Def Jam

This is big news people!  Iggy Azalea has announced her newly inked deal with Island Def Jam Records. The Australian rapper took to the bible of all bibles, Twitter to announce the move.

Iggy was originally signing a deal with Interscope Records, however this deal fell through back in 2012, so she continued to work through rapper T.I.’s label Hustle Gang, with which she released her EP “Glory”, which included the track “Murda Bizness”.

The contract with Hustle Gang was not renewed and Iggy slowly parted from working with T.I’s label and her debut LP “The New Classic” no longer had T.I. as executive producer. The debut single “Work” was released through Mercury Records, a subsidiary of Island Def  Jam.

She made the announcement on Twitter, ensuring it was known that her and T.I were still speaking,

“Hey world. I signed to island def jam. Iam now mercury UK/ island def jam USA awesome!!!!,” she tweeted. “No. That doesn’t mean I’m no in hustle gang. Save it. Still in it. Still on the hustle gang album. Friendship doesn’t require contracts.”

“If this confuses you, you are welcome to read the press release on billboard later today.”

The press release claimed the following: ” I am elated to be a part of  the Island Def Jam family! After speaking in depth with David [Massey], Steve [Bartles] and Chris [Anokute], it became clear that Island Records was attuned to the type of artist I am. They are a great addition to my UK team, and I couldn’t have asked for a mor understanding and aspirational group of people to work with.”

Her debut LP “The New Classic” is due for release in 2013.

Fresh Fridays is our new weekly entry for Fridays at Life’s Musik. This is an opportunity for the newest artists on the circuit both in the UK and the US to showcase what they have to offer. Whether they are signed or unsigned, we will help to promote and showcase artists music to the world.

So to kick off our Fresh Fridays, we would like to introduce you to Rajiv. Fresh onto the music scene, Rajiv, hailing from Essex is ready to hit the circuit hard.

With the video to his debut single “Catch Me If You Can” already being playlisted on some top UK music television channels, such as BET, AKA and Flava, Rajiv is on the promotional trail now to show his work to the world.

His single was released on September 16^th and was produced by David Brant who was responsible for the careers of Mis-Teeq and Nate James, and co-produced by Funkiipapa, who has also worked closely with MOBO nominee Emeli Sandé, Wiley, Maxwell D and many others.

The punchy single is also featuring rapper Mr Arch, who has been an established and well respected MC on the UK grime and hip hop circuit.

NEW MUSIC!!: Rihanna New Album Release Date

This girl is FAR to busy for us!! Def Jam France have reported via Idolator that Rihanna will be releasing her seventh studio album in November. Rihanna has released an album in November for the last 3 years…so every November, expect an album from this chick!

Def Jam France deleted the tweet as soon as fans caught wind of the news. They then said that further information would be announced tomorrow.

This comes days after she announced the dates for her “Diamonds World Tour” in North America .

UPDATE: Katherine Jackson

As we have just posted here, Katherine Jackson was reported missing late last night. 

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department have just issued a statement claiming that her nephew filed a missing person’s report as he could not get in contact with her, however it is said that she is fine and is in Arizona with family members. 

The deputies have said that they are trying to contact Mrs. Jackson in order for her to contact her family. 

Jermaine Jackson, one of Katherine’s other children has taken to Twitter saying “I want to reassure everyone (inc all sudden medical experts) that Mother is fine but is resting up in AZ on the orders of a doctor, not us”

We’re glad to hear that she is ok.

REVEALED!!: Madonna Album Title Revealed

For those of you who are avid fans of the legendary Madonna, you’ll probably already know that she is currently in London promoting her new film W.E. 

In fact as we speak, she is in the BBC studios, filming her time on the Graham Norton Show. 

According to James Ingham of the Daily Star who is at the taping, she revealed that her new album name will be:

“MDNA…Unless I change my mind” Different?? Yes. Controversial?? Maybe. 

 

We’re looking forward to see what her promotional campaign entails. A press release is due out in the next few days so we’ll keep you updated as always!

You can watch her time with Graham Norton on BBC1 tomorrow night at 9pm!

New Album!!: Boyz II Men

They’ve sold over 60 million albums worldwide, won multiple amounts of Grammy Awards and recently won the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award at this years MOBOs.

Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men have been in the industry for 20 years, making them one of the biggest and most successful groups of all time.

To celebrate their 20 years, they are releasing their brand new album “Twenty”. The album is a double CD, containing 10 new songs plus 10 updated versions of their classics such as “End of The Road”, “I’ll Make Love To You”, and “Bended Knee”.

These boys are true influences on todays successful artists including Beyonce and Usher. The boys still hold the No.1 spot for the most consecutive weeks at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for their classic track “One Sweet Day” ft. Mariah Carey as well as being named by Billboard as the most successful group of the 90s.
