So she came to give London a taste of her vocals last night and we must say that Jessie J smashed it.
The Brit’s Critic’s Choice Award winner from Redbridge enetertained a sold out O2 Shepherd’s Empire last night and was supported by some fantastic acts.
Encore came on to show us what they are about and did a fantastic cover of Michael Jackson’s Human Nature, with a wicked mash up of Love Will Be
Right Here by American R&B group SWV. We were really impressed with what Encore had to offer. The R&B/Dubstep trio seem to take their performing and music very seriously and ensure that the crowd are as involved as they possibly could be. The hard work doesn’t just stop there though. They are also scheduled to tour with N-Dubz in the coming weeks.
Liam Bailey was next to take the stage and again surprised us with some
great vocals and songwriting. The singer sang one of his current releases “You Better Leave Me” and his great single “Fool Boy”. Having alreay collaborated with Chase ad Status, Liam Bailey really has set a name for himself and has a lot to offer as a musician.
Then came along the lady herself. Jessie J wowed the audience in her black leatard and gold high heels. Jessie spent the time singing some of her most popular tracks from her album inclding Price Tag, Abracadabra, Rainbow, Stand Up and of course her debut single Do It Like A Dude.
The crowd were going absolutely insane for every single one of her tracks and she seriously entertained them. This is a very humble woman who comes out with some rather cliché sayings like “It’s not about the money” and “We are all colours of the rainbow”, yet she manages to truly inspire and motivate the crowd who are supporting her.
One thing we liked about this concert is that it was just so real. There was no falseness. Jessie J was who she has always tried to be…herself. She reminds us of tube journeys, shopping in Sainsbury’s in her pyjamas and many other things that we can relate to. Telling us how she found it hard to fit in sometimes and seriously empathising with those gong through the same troubles.
Jessie J has massive support from so many different people. Young to old, men to women, straight to gay and everything inbetween. Her “heartbeats” truly do find her an inspiration and the vocals are something not be messed with!
This didn’t just seem like a concert. It really felt like Jessie J was saying “thank you” to her fans.
We seriously can’t wait to see her again!
